Ship, then polish
Working software in production beats perfect software in a branch. We get to real early and refine from there.
About Who we are
We started Hello Books on a simple conviction: Africa's most important systems deserve the same engineering rigour as anything built anywhere else. So we build them, carefully and for the long run.
From Nairobi, we build the platforms that move goods, sell products, settle payments, coordinate care, and keep the books. Five industries, one standard: production software that holds up under real load.
We are a small, senior team by design. No hand-offs to junior benches, no armies of middle managers. The people who scope your product are the people who build it, and they stay accountable to the outcome, not just the ticket.
Whether you are a startup racing to launch or an established business modernising a creaking system, we bring the same thing: engineers who care about your problem as much as you do.
01 What we believe
Working software in production beats perfect software in a branch. We get to real early and refine from there.
We go deep on the business, whether logistics, money, or care, so the software reflects how the work truly happens.
Clean, documented, tested. When we hand over, your team inherits something they can grow with confidence.
Mobile-first, offline-tolerant, mobile-money-native. We engineer for the realities of the African market.
02 How we work
We embed with your team, map the domain, and pin down what needs to be true for the product to win.
We design systems that hold up: clean data models, sensible boundaries, and infrastructure sized for real load.
Tight iterations, shipping working software early. You see progress every week, not every quarter.
We harden, observe, and optimise, then hand over clean, documented code your team can own with confidence.
